So much to say, so little space to say it...
An excellent performance was delivered by three groups, each showcasing their unique characteristics, talent, and experience on stage, boasting strong resumes filled with decades of success. The place was packed, and I found myself tightly surrounded by fellow listeners, enduring the heat and humidity alongside the performers. Despite the challenging conditions, the experience was undoubtedly worth it. The night was not just about listening but also about active audience participation, with people enthusiastically engaging by standing up, moving to the music, and singing along, creating a vibrant and fun atmosphere. Night Ranger kicked off the evening, captivating the crowd with their classic "Sister Christian" toward the end of their set. Following them was the talented and ageless Pat Benatar, delivering powerful renditions of hits like "Love is a Battlefield" and "Hit me with your Best Shot", while also sharing a poignant dedication for abused children worldwide. Closing out the night was "La Distance", energizing the audience with songs like "Don't Let Him Go" and "Keep on Loving You", led by the dynamic Kevin Cronin whose infectious energy added to the lively ambiance. Despite leaving early to catch a cab, I could still hear Kevin Cronin's nostalgic performances of La Distance favorites from the 80s echoing in the distance. It was a well-done evening for all three groups, culminating in a memorable and enjoyable experience for the audience.
